Zirconia and ceramic crowns

Protect the tooth without anyone noticing.

Metal-free crowns designed from an intraoral scan, for weakened teeth, root-canal-treated teeth or implants.

Crowns on front implants at Implantec, before and after

A crown fully covers a weakened tooth to give it back strength and shape. We make them metal-free, in zirconia or ceramic, from an intraoral scan.

What it solves

  • Fractured, heavily decayed or root-canal-treated teeth that need protection
  • Old metal crowns showing a dark line at the gum
  • Implant restorations

How it is done

Step by step

  1. 01

    Preparation and scan

We prepare the tooth and take a digital scan, no impression paste.

  2. 02

    Design and fabrication

The crown is designed in software and milled in zirconia or ceramic in the exact shade.

  3. 03

    Cementation

We check fit, color and bite, then cement it.

Who is a candidate

Is this for me?

  • Patients with weakened teeth who want to keep them
  • Implant patients who need their final crown

Common questions

What people ask us

Zirconia or ceramic?

Zirconia is stronger and we prefer it for molars; ceramic (lithium disilicate) has superior esthetics for front teeth. Sometimes we combine them.
