Treatment

All-on-4 / All-on-6

A full fixed arch on four or six implants.

A technique to restore a whole arch with few implants, often with fixed temporary teeth the same day.

All-on-4 case at Implantec, before and after

All-on-4 and All-on-6 are ways to restore an entire arch with a fixed prosthesis held by four or six implants. The back implants are tilted to use the available bone, which often avoids large grafts and shortens treatment.

It is one of the treatments that most changes life for our older patients: they go from a denture that moves to fixed teeth they can eat normally with. You can see a real example in the cases gallery.

What it solves

  • Complete tooth loss in the upper or lower jaw
  • Full dentures that will not stay in place
  • Limited bone in the back of the jaw where large grafts used to be required

How it is done

Step by step

  1. 01

    Imaging and planning

We study the available bone and decide whether your case calls for four or six implants.

  2. 02

    Guided surgery

We place the implants, the back ones tilted to use the bone you do have, with a surgical guide.

  3. 03

    Fixed temporary

When implant stability allows, you leave with a fixed temporary prosthesis within 24 to 72 hours.

  4. 04

    Final prosthesis

Three to six months later, we fabricate the final teeth.

Who is a candidate

Is this for me?

  • Patients with no teeth, or no savable teeth, in one arch
  • People with moderate bone loss who want to avoid extensive grafting
  • Patients in good general health or with controlled conditions

Common questions

What people ask us

All-on-4 or All-on-6, which is better?

Neither is better in the abstract. It depends on the amount and quality of bone, the bite and the arch (upper or lower). We decide with your imaging studies and explain why.

Do I really leave with teeth the same day?

In most cases, yes, with a fixed temporary prosthesis. It requires the implants to reach a minimum stability during surgery; if that is not achieved, you wear a removable temporary for a few weeks.

Is it safe to get All-on-4 in Mexico?

What makes it safe is who does it and how it is planned, not the country. Here it is done by a board-certified periodontist with digital planning, guided surgery and the same implant systems used in the US. You can review her credentials on the specialists page.
