Dental implants

Get back more than a tooth.

From a single implant to a full-arch restoration, planned digitally and placed by a board-certified periodontist and implant specialist.

Dental implant model held by an Implantec specialist

Losing a tooth changes how you eat, how you smile and how you feel when you talk. A dental implant is a titanium root placed in the bone, with a new fixed tooth built on top. It does not come out and it does not depend on the neighboring teeth.

At Implantec, implants are placed by Dr. Areli Castillo, a board-certified periodontist and implant specialist. That matters because an implant lives in bone and gum, and that is precisely what periodontics studies. Every case is planned digitally with imaging studies and an intraoral scan, and we use guided surgery whenever the case allows it.

Everything starts with a diagnosis. Before recommending an implant we evaluate bone, gums, bite and medical history. Sometimes the best answer is an immediate implant on the same day as the extraction; sometimes it is better to rebuild bone first. We walk you through it using your own images.

What it solves

  • A tooth lost to decay, fracture or gum disease
  • Several missing teeth currently replaced by a bridge or a partial denture
  • Complete tooth loss and dentures that move when you eat or talk
  • Trouble chewing, speaking or smiling with confidence

How it is done

Step by step

  1. 01

    Evaluation and records

We check gums, bone and bite, and use your imaging studies and an intraoral scan to see your whole case. If you live abroad, this can start remotely with your existing X-rays.

  2. 02

    Digital planning

We decide the ideal implant position on the computer before touching your mouth. Surgery gets shorter and more predictable.

  3. 03

    Implant placement

Under local anesthesia, with a custom surgical guide when the case allows. If bone or gum is missing, we rebuild it.

  4. 04

    Healing

The implant bonds with the bone over a few months. In most cases you wear a temporary tooth so you are never without one.

  5. 05

    Restoration

The final crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis is placed on the implant, designed to look and work like a natural tooth.

  6. 06

    Follow-up

Periodic check-ups and periodontal maintenance. A well-kept implant can last decades.

Who is a candidate

Is this for me?

  • Adults with one or more missing teeth and healthy (or treated) gums
  • Denture wearers who want a fixed solution
  • Patients with limited bone, through bone grafting or a sinus lift before the implant
  • Patients with controlled conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, with medical clearance

Common questions

What people ask us

Does getting an implant hurt?

It is done under local anesthesia and most patients say it was easier than an extraction. Discomfort during the first days is managed with medication.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on the case. A single implant without grafting usually takes three to six months from surgery to final crown. If you need bone regeneration it takes longer. For patients traveling from the US we group appointments into two or three trips and tell you the exact schedule before you book anything.

I was told I do not have enough bone. Is that final?

Often not. Many patients who heard that can still get implants with bone grafting or a sinus lift. Your imaging studies tell us.

How much do dental implants cost in Mexico?

The cost depends on the number of implants, whether bone grafting is needed and the type of restoration. After your evaluation you get a written plan with clear costs by stage. Patients from the US typically find specialist-level care here at a fraction of what they were quoted at home, with the same implant brands.
