Bone grafting
Rebuild the bone so implants are possible.
Grafts and regeneration techniques for patients who lost bone and were told they could not get implants.

When a tooth is lost, the bone that held it slowly shrinks. Years go by and sometimes there is not enough left for an implant. Bone regeneration brings that volume back.
Many patients arrive with a “you have no bone” from another office. In a good share of those cases the imaging studies show that it is possible, with a graft done before or at the same time as the implant.
What it solves
- Not enough bone for an implant after years without a tooth
- Bone loss from periodontitis or infection
- Bone defects after a difficult extraction
How it is done
Step by step
- 01
Imaging studies
We measure exactly how much bone there is and how much is missing.
- 02
Graft
We place biomaterial, your own bone or a combination, protected by a membrane, so your body regenerates it.
- 03
Maturation
Four to nine months depending on the technique. Sometimes the implant is placed in the same surgery.
- 04
Implant
With enough bone, we place the implant in the ideal position.
Who is a candidate
Is this for me?
- Patients who were told they did not have enough bone for implants
- People with recent extractions who want to preserve the bone (socket preservation)
Common questions
What people ask us
Where does the bone come from?
Depending on the case we use bovine or synthetic biomaterials, the patient's own bone or a mix. We explain which one fits your case and why.
Is a graft always needed for an implant?
No. Only when the bone volume does not allow placing the implant in the right position. Your imaging studies determine it.
